Sir,
In reply to your letter No.514/023 of the 1st
instant, I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the
Admiralty to request you will inform Mr Secretary Chamberlain
that they concur in the Remarks, No.311R, by the Colonial
Defence Committee on the Report for the Season 1901-02 on
the Hong Kong Volunteer Corps.
2.- I am to addthat a copy of the Remarks has been
forwarded to the Commander-in-Chief on the China Station
with directions to report, in accordance with the suggestion
in paragraph 11 of the Remarks, on the site, etc., of the
proposed instructional searchlight at Hong Kong.
